Emily Lucas, Professional Counselor Associate
Emily holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University. Her years in the mental health field include experience in residential treatment, school-based behavior support, at Head Start aiding families with preschool aged children, and facilitating groups for Domestic Violence Intervention. Emily is experienced in working in trauma informed care and is committed to learning while also embracing each client’s unique experience. Emily is focused on offering a place to feel safe and accepted to begin the therapeutic process. Reaching goals is rooted in a collaborative relationship with her clients, and Emily hopes to offer tools and strategies that foster growth.
Emily utilizes evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and
multicultural counseling. Emily enjoys working with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.
She works with adults and children of all ages, and looks forward to meeting and having the privilege to work with anyone who is looking to begin a new healing journey.
