Gemma is the founder and owner of Barcelona Counseling. She is not currently seeing clients.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology (Argosy) from the District of Columbia.

She uses different approaches to help address diverse issues; (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Attachment Based Therapy, etc.) She works with individuals, couples, and families. She prioritizes the human connection and  also uses EMDR: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.

Additionally, she holds a Degree in Social Work from the University of Social Work from Barcelona, Spain. Gemma is also proficient in Spanish, English, Spanish Sign Language, and Catalan.

Licenses and Certifications

 

Gemma is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) recognized by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists (OBLPCT).

She is also a Certified Mediator from Resolutions Northwest Mediation, a Gang Specialist Certified with the National Gang Crime Research Center, and a Stewards of Children’s Authorized Facilitator in Child Sexual Abuse Prevention.
